I took my family on a road trip to the West Coast. 16 days, 17 states and almost 6,000 miles. About 1,000 miles were up and down 7-15% grades, either in 3rd gear to get up or in 2nd gear engine braking down until you could smell the brakes. About 25 miles horizontal and 1 mile vertical from Dillon, Colorado to the Eisenhower (you can't make me call it Johnson) Tunnel in 3rd gear and the gauges never moved! I had to add gasoline and wash the windows in my 2002 Chevy Suburban that started the trip with 129,000 miles and a fresh oil change. I've been using Westerville auto in uptown Westerville for over 10 years. We take our cars there for everything. They are VERY fair, never try to sell you something you don't need and get the job done quickly. I've had 3 experiences w/ this shop and I was nothing short of impressed with them. I'm the kind of person who prefers to do my own work. But not everything can be done in a driveway. So when I don't have the time or tools to fix something I take it to the North Westerville shop.  The first time I took my wife's civic there was to get an alignment after I replaced some suspension parts. She needed her car back the next day and they managed to work it into the schedule. 

The second trip I made to see the guys was when I ran into an issue installing a lift kit on my truck. The stud on the top plate of my strut broke loose and I couldn't get the nuts off. Knowing I needed a spring compressor to completely resolve the issue I called the shop and they had my truck back on the road the next day.

Once the lift kit was installed I had several discount tire shops tell me they wouldn't align my truck because of the very basic lift I had on it. I spoke with Doug at the North Westerville store and ordered a set of 33" Goodyear Duratracs. They were installed and aligned within a day and my truck rides perfectly. 

The moral of the story is this: If I can't do it myself, this is the only shop I trust to get it right. - Travis S.

Not once, in dozens of visits have the personnel at Westerville Automotive been anything but professional, fair, and efficient. I have never (in 60 years of driving) encountered a finer automotive servicing facility. As an example, my 1999 Jeep Cherokee has had an elusive rattle in the rear for sometime. Westerville Automotive has tried to remedy it, and, on today's visit, pinned it down to a shock absorber on which the valve had failed. Four new shocks had been installed by them about ten months ago. Not only did they replace the bad shock, they replaced its partner...both at no charge. Problem solved...and solved with a good bit of effort on their part to find the problem and solved cheerfully. Nowhere else I have done business would have been as patient and diligent in seeking the origin of this problem. Westerville Automotive is just plain the best there is! - Robert F.
